Through my practice of upcycling discarded textiles, my intent is to gently remind viewers of the material value of textiles, by celebrating the beauty, comfort and protection they bring to our lives.

This scene depicts a clothing dump in the Atacama Desert, the final resting place for a large volume of unsellable clothing donations, sourced from wealthy countries around the world.

A series of functional pieces celebrating the generosity and abundance of my community. Unwanted jeans were gathered from my neighborhood, then cut and quilted together to create new functional textiles - which carry the memories of the original owners, and the possibility for new stories.
